We are Nature.
As humans, we are intrinsically linked, energetically, physically and spiritually, with nature. We are deeply connected to and directly affected by the rhythms of nature…and nature presents countless lessons for us to learn.
Imagine a roaring river, cascading from the highest mountain point, flowing steadily towards a lake or the sea. The river doesn’t flow uphill or try to flow over big rocks, it follows the path of least resistance, it flows downhill and ebbs around rock. It finds ease.
This sense of ease is always present in nature. Take for example the simple formula of nature- Seed, Time and Harvest.
First a seed must be planted in fertile soil. With the right balance of water, sunlight and nutrients, the seed begins to grow. Over time the seed blooms into being, ready for harvest.
For us a seed may be a thought or intention. We must spend time manifesting, carefully watering and nurturing our seeds before the harvest. Sometimes we step out of the cycle and try to rush to harvest, forgetting the precious time that is needed for the seed to take hold and grow strong.
One of the most valuable lessons, as we will witness this Fall, is understanding that nature doesn’t attach stories or expectations to its experiences. It just naturally follows the cycle of life by being.
Each season has its own energy and rhythm, indicating where nature is in its yearly cycle. As humans, and being nature ourselves, we share these cycles and we too need to follow a rhythm. Wee need balance just as nature needs the seasons. We need a period of giving and receiving, a time of rest followed by a time of growth, of taking in and letting go, of breathing in and breathing out. Life is a balance of expending energy and conserving energy.
We learn from nature that by letting go and surrendering, we can live more joyously. When we release the stories and expectations that we attach to our experiences, we will live in the present moment with truth and acceptance. It is what it is.
This season we can incorporate rituals of letting go into our daily life, trusting and accepting what life brings our way. As we use the energy of the season to help us move through our own energetic cycle, we will come to know our true authentic nature and peace.
Everything is within you, just like a seed has all it needs to become a strong tree. When you realize that you are part of nature and exist in the same cycle, your body, your breath, and your experiences in your mind, life takes on a different meaning. We are one with nature…
Nature prepares for the coming changes by shedding what it no longer needs. Like nature it’s time to clear out and free yourself from the things you no longer need. When you surrender to the cycle of nature, you also open up to the opportunity for new growth, without the falling of the leaves there will be no new growth.
Invite yourself to come alive and listen to what your soul needs. Open to new possibilities, open to what shows up, without judgment. With letting go to open up, you will sense freedom and lightness. No need to look to the past, as you have let it go. Trust your own inner journey and cycles. Sense the energy that connects you to nature and feel the freedom you have in letting go.
